Windsor Walking Tours (1-2 hours duration)
Windsor is a town full of history, attracting many visitors each year. During our walks you see the town and local attractions, learn about the past and explore the present. Perhaps stop to have a drink in one of the local pubs, allowing you to soak up a unique royal and historic atmosphere.
Pre-booked tours
We offer many different walks and tours which you can pre-book for your party, a selection is given below. We can also offer any of the Public Tours as a private tour for your party. For information or to book your place, please telephone 01753 857885 or
 
  • Royal Windsor Town Tour
    • Capture the romance of this historic Thames side town, seat of monarchy for 1,000 years.
       
  • Windsor Castle and St George’s Chapel
    (separate combined entrance fee)
    • No royal palace is more special to the Queen than Windsor.  See the splendour of the royal apartments. Hear the story of St George’s Chapel and the chivalrous Knights of the Garter.

  • Hauntings and Horrible Happenings in Windsor  -  Ghost Walk
    • When darkness falls, take a walk around the shadowy streets to discover haunted restaurants, shops and houses of Windsor Town Centre, not forgetting all the royal ghosts who haunt the Castle and Great Park.
       
  • Eton and Eton College
    • Enjoy the walk up to this world famous boys school where 19 British Prime Ministers and more recently Princes William and Harry were educated.

    Alternative walks include: historic pubs of Windsor, Georgian/Victorian Windsor, Runnymede (The Magna Carta),
    Romney Lock/Home Park. Please also see our Public Tours programme as any of those tours can be booked for your private party on a date of your choice.

Public Tours

  • Ticket Prices: £5.00 Adults, £4.00 Advantage Card Holders, £2.50 under 14’s.

  • Please book in advance. Tours will only operate with a minimum of 4 bookings.

  • All tours last approx 1 hour and start outside the Visitor Information Centre in the Royal Windsor Station (opposite Windsor Castle).

  • For information and to book, contact the Visitor Information Centre, Windsor Royal Station.
